I look to those around me for inspiration, and I visit memories of people who have only been around for certain seasons of life so that I can reflect on and appreciate the experience. From that point on I began to share my journey with others through ceramics. As we raise new generations who shape the future, it is important to me that I make my mark alongside and pass down my connections through my work. My art speaks to the eye both visually and physically. I have experimented with textures with oceanic undertones and found that certain glaze combinations can push this aesthetic further. I enjoy allowing people to meet me without having spoken to me yet through my stylistic choices. The audience feels my ambition, curiosity, love, loneliness, and more through sculptures that are unique in color and form. I want to be remembered for approaching my life from an alternate viewpoint, and I want to continue to apply my ambition to strengthening my skill, knowledge, and personal impact on the art community. Coming to San Antonio inspires me because here I am surrounded by a multitude of artists with diverse backgrounds and styles that contribute to the art community here in the city. I love to portray my sense of self to the audience. Now that I have spoken to and met a variety of people who have broken their molds from outside expectations, it inspires me to continue breaking out of one that others think I should conform to.
